Financial Help for Families Who Lost Their Breadwinner
This is information about a program that can give financial help to families in India who lost the main person who earned money for the household (the breadwinner).
Who can get this National Family Benefit Scheme help?

- Families who are living below the poverty line (BPL) in India

- The family’s main earner must have passed away

- The deceased earner must have been between 18 and 60 years old

- There must be a new main earner in the family (someone to take care of the family financially)
How much help is given by goverment?
₹ 20,000 will be given one time to the new main earner of the family.
How to apply National Family Benefit Scheme?
There are two ways to apply:

- Online: You can download the UMANG App or visit the website UMANG App. You must create an account and then search for “NSAP” (National Social Assistance Programme ).

- Offline: You can contact your local government office for help applying.
What documents are required for applying?
Documents for the deceased breadwinner:
